I was surprised so many Americans still write checks. I do
all the time myself, but lots pay on line etc. Sad to see so many things we are familiar with going, or gone.
You wouldn't believe how many videos I have. On the other hand, I have to feel optimistic that God in his wisdom is well aware of all this going on, and though some things would seem to threaten the world as we know it i.e the bees, surely God has a long term plan for the outcome of this. If he has decreed the end of the world, then nothing we do will change that. He made us and He is in charge of our destiny.
If we, as people are destroying his creation through our greed, then we deserve His wrath.
Very interesting post Patty, makes a lot of food for thought on all levels.
Love GrannyMarian Deanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06765534146844251398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15258537.post-35619410182044800342009-09-13T04:04:46.999-04:002009-09-13T04:04:46.999-04:00These things are extinct all over the worlld.Inter...These things are extinct all over the worlld.Interesting post.dyannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02117124153484092545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15258537.post-91179152409357234422009-09-12T21:18:50.691-04:002009-09-12T21:18:50.691-04:00Sad indeed. And I still have a landline phone, although I also have a cell phone. I guess progress happens, whether we like it or not.

I just got a notice from my old high school alumni in Ohio. They are planning a 55 year reunion next year! Can you believe that? I may just attend that one, if the Good Lord be willing.

Our weather has been delightful, around here and I've been out a lot enjoying it. Yesterday I got an actual handwritten letter with old time pictures from a 97 year old friend and it was actually fun to tear open an envelope instead of a mouse click.
Still I realize my dependance on the internet and computers is the cause of many of the pending disappearances.
Oh yeah, our only theater is a drive in. This past year's economic downturn has played havic with the post office as well as newspapers and magazines.

VCR's the magic of the 80's have really had a quick shelf life. I remember working for FCPS when the old machines were so big and heavy and so were the cassettes.
