Old Tom Turkey
We went over to Aullwood Farm this morning to see if we could see the baby goats and sheep. While there we went back to see Old Tom. Today I noticed the pretty blue on his face, so Abe took a close up. Funny thing is, the left side of his face seems to have more blue then the right side, and in one photo you can see the top of his head, and it has like a dividing line, one half looks red, one half looks white. Here's old Tom, I think he's gorgeous.



He almost looks like some alien creature from another planet. Here is a photo showing the top of his head, if you look closely you can see his eye. This shows the right side of his head/face. The right side isn't as blue as the left.



I was just checking on the internet and under information about turkeys I found that when they get excited their wattles change color, perhaps this accounts for his head looking so different on each side.
