A Day In The Life Of Old Lady Lincoln

Good Morning Everyone!

Got up earlier then usual, and got started early. Have been to Feed store to pick up thistle for the finches, got gas in the car,$2.69 a gal, but since I don’t pump it, it cost me seven cents more on the gallon, I only had to get $15.00 to fill it, picked up groceries and ran through drive through for a bag of ice, it’s only .95 cents a bag there, and the store wants $1.49 for the same size, just different company. Drive through is only about three blocks from us, so is the grocery.

Came home, put things in the freezer and frig, ate a bite of breakfast, took all of my medications, and the clock said 9:45 am. It was already up to 80 at 8:30 that's why I wanted to get an early start. Now I go at 11, about three blocks from me, to cut my hair cut.

Then I’m coming home, will fix a bite of lunch, unless I decide to pick up something, and plop my big old butt down on the sofa and crochet. I’m working on a baby afghan, white with powder blue trim. Will also make a pair of booties and a little cap to match. I use to baby sit for a little girl named Tamara Kaye, I started watching her when she was 9 months old. I watched her until she went to Kindergarten. She was always a very quiet child. She grew up and went to Bandung to teach. She met a young man by the name of Sutan Paulus Jan Dillak. They fell in love and came back to United States to be married on July 9, 2005. She turned 40 this past May, and they are expecting their first baby in September. I called her Mother yesterday to find out when the baby was due and was very surprised when Tammy answered. Right now her and her husband are here visiting and will be here until July 2008. So I asked about the baby, she said it will be a little boy. That’s the reason I am making the afghan, cap and booties, to give them as a gift.

Well that’s about if for the day. I’ve been feeling really pretty good. I go see the radiologist next Wednesday the 15th for a three month check up, this will probably be my last visit with her. Then on Thursday the 16th. I go to my family doctor for a yearly physical. On Aug. 22 I have to have one tooth filled, after all I only have 8 left below, but this is where the wire for my partial hooks on, so I want to keep it as long as I can. Then I should be hearing from the surgeon, it will be time for his last check up with me. And early September I go see the oncologist for a three month check up. I have a feeling he will want to do the three month checks for at least one full year, and then perhaps he’ll go to once every six months while I am still on Femara.

So there you have the latest from my end of the world. Hope you all have a great week-end, which is just around the corner.

Pat Lincoln
