What Is Labor Day?

Labor Day

NOUN: The first Monday in September, observed as a holiday in the United States and Canada in honor of working people.

Question, does this mean no one has to work that day? I don't think so, most stores and restaurants are open. If having a cook out, the Mother works her buns off getting everything ready and cleaning up afterwards. To most Mother's it's like any other day or holiday. We still have to feed the family, clean up after the meal and just in general do the same old thing. Keep the kids from fighting, no matter what age, ha!ha!.

This year we are not having a family get together on Monday. We will be getting together to celebrate Simplicity's son's birthday which was
Aug. 27th. on Saturday Sept. 8th. He turned that wonderful age of 15.

I remember waiting in the hospital while he was being born. Melissa(Audsman) and I were in the waiting room. Becky (the non blogging daughter) and Melinda (http://photographyfordummies.blogspot.com) were standing in a hallway that had a window looking into the delivery room. Angela's husband Gary was in the delivery room with Angela. We all got to see Alex once he was cleaned up, he was a beautiful baby.

Hope you all have a great day off work to do what ever pleases you the most and makes you feel good. With in reason of course. Ha!Ha!

Well Patty I hope the only labours you ended up doing were 'Labours Of Love'
I'm very early with my blogging today as I took a bad turn last night, and I have not slept well. My heart rate is still erratic but settling down now. I will be up for another hour or so then I will be able to sleep through the morning.
It's nice to be up and about while most others are sleeping, I watched the sun rise this morning at just gone 5, the sky was nice and red.
Chatch up with you and Abraham later I'm sure.
