JUST A QUICK ONE THIS MORNING

I plan on going to visit my Mother. I talk to her every day by phone, sometimes twice a day, but it will be two weeks tomorrow since I was actually at her house visiting. I usually take her someplace for lunch, we take turns buying the lunch, because she won't let me pay each time. She keeps saying let me fix you lunch, and I keep saying Mom I don't want you to have to go to all the work. So this time I am letting her cook. She makes home made noodles that no one else can make to taste like hers. She cooks a chicken and gets that nice rich broth, cooks the noodles, then adds hunks of chicken back into the pan of noodles. I just wish you could all taste them, they are delicious. Today she wants me to show her the front post and back post on this one crochet pattern. She can't remember how to do it. We both like to crochet, we both taught ourselves how and enjoy it most of the time. Have a great day.

Well here is my little quickie this morning.

Interview at the Firm...

There was a job opening in the country's most prestigious law firm and it finally comes down to Robert and Paul.

Both graduated magna cum laude from law school. Both come from good families. Both are equally attractive and well spoken. It's up to the senior partner to choose one, so he takes each candidate aside and asks, "Why did you become a lawyer?

Only seconds after talking to them both, he chooses Paul.

Baffled, Robert takes Paul aside after the interview. "I don't understand why I was rejected. When Mr. Armstrong asked me why I became a lawyer, I said that I had the greatest respect for the law, that I'd lay down my life for the Constitution and that all I wanted was to do right by my clients. What in the world did you tell him?"

"I said I became a lawyer because of my hands," Paul replies.

"Your hands? What do you mean?"

"Well, I took a look one day and there wasn't any money in either of them!"

Lovely picture. You are so lucky to still have your mother in 2007.
My mother died thirty years ago at 61. I sure could use her advice and counsel even now.

Hi Patty,

Sweet photo of you and your Mom. You look so much alike. Home made noodles are the best, aren't they?

I enjoyed my visit. The joke was funny!

Best wishes,

Renie
