HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL OF MY BLOGGING FRIENDS

LESSONS OF LOVE

By Taxpayer
Love is the feeling you feel when you feel you're going to feel the feeling you've never felt before.

By Yulonda from Milwaukee, WI
Love - though a passionate, whimsical thing, is not fly by night or instantaneous. It is the trail of memories tears, the training of rarely used muscles, and the power of silence to convey a message that the loudest shout could never convey.

Love in Marriage - I've learned that the most convincing argument is none. This is no way means that I am submissive to all my husband's demands. It means that when I (or he) want to get a point across that the most powerful persuasion is borne in contemplative conversation. We thinking before we speak - even if it takes a week or more - not yell at the top of our lungs about things that don't matter, and that can hurt more than they help.

Loving Children - I've learned that children will love you if you show them love first. Show them, not just tell them. An "I love you" without a hug or a smile is like the sun shining but not bringing life to the flower. It is a dead light. And we all know that in the light, things grow.

I've learned that everyone is perfect until you fall in love with them.

By Michael in Friendship NY

I was married briefly for three years 38 years ago. I have been single since the divorce. When I proposed to my ex-wife my dog, a German Shepherd, came up behind me while I was on my knees proposing and bit me in the butt. I guess I should have paid more attention to the dog and withdrew my proposal but I didn't. Sometimes a dog is not only man's best friend but knows more than the man does.

Love is not blind,
It sees more, not less.
And because it sees more
Its willing to see less.

The most gratifying is when you see the light in your children and grandchildren's eyes when they want that extra hug and kiss goodbye after a visit showing how much they love you!

When The Moon Hits Your Eye...

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie
That's amore.

When an eel bites your hand and that's not what you planned
That's a moray.

When our habits are strange and our customs deranged
That's our mores.

When your horse munches straw and the bales total four
That's some more hay.

When Othello's poor wife, she gets stabbed with a knife
That's a Moor, eh?

When a Japanese knight used a sword in a fight
That's Sa...mur...ai.

Yes, Dean Martin's voice comes to mind when I read the song. I guess I miss him and Jerry together on stage. Nice post.
