How true, how true

"The Perfect Girl"

by D Shahn of New Jersey....

A friend asked a gentleman how it is that he never married.

Replied the gentleman, "Well, I guess I just never met the right woman... I guess I've been looking for the perfect girl."

"Oh, come on now," said the friend, "Surely you have met at least one girl that you wanted to marry."

"Yes, there was one girl...once. I guess she was the one perfect girl...the only perfect girl I really ever met. She was just the right everything...I really mean that she was the perfect girl for me."

"Well, why didn't you marry her," asked the friend.

"She was looking for the perfect man," he said.

Just a reminder that none of us are perfect, so it is counter-productive to look for someone who is. What we should be looking for in a marriage is where each person elevates the other to reach his or her true potential. This happens when you love each other, respect one another, share common values and inspire each other.

I wouldn't marry a perfect man. I would always be afraid that I could never come up to his expectations, besides I don't want to be perfect.

Dear Patty ~~ I doubt if there are too many perfect men or women. But a good post. I also enjoyed the Reunion one - that's priceless.
Thank you for your comments - it wasn't you doing anything wrong with The Biker thingo - I published it and then tried to reduce the large space between posts and lost it. So this morning I have retyped it and it's on there with a big space again. Do you have any suggestions to reduce this space. I usually save the post and then edit and delete the etc beneath and then publish. It used to work well. Take care my friend, Love, Merle.
