I wonder

Why?

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are going dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on 'insufficient funds' when they know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?

Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an 'S' in the word 'lisp'?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?

Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

The sentence about knocking something elese over reminds of a recent wedding mishap posted on the newswire. At an outdoor wedding by a pool the best man stumbled handing the groom the bride's ring and when he tried to catch the ring he knocked over the bride and both she and the minister sailed down into the pool and got totally soaked. What a wedding mishap!

Thanks for stopping by this weekend. I've posted more weekend photos and now am going back to bed!

White bubbles? I once had a bet with someone that the colored popcorn will be white when popped.
I won!
Great post, Patty!

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat? I've often wondered this myself. Great list!

I've seen parts of this list before. Very funny. It's just the oddities of life. After all, why do we park in a DRIVEway but drive on a PARKway? Hmmm? Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

Thank you so much for your comment. I know: not all fathers are the same. Mine was very caring, but he was a sailor and often away and my mum had to do a lot by herself. He wrote almost every day to my mum and us and was a good husband and father.

Cute! :-D Oh, and by the way...

Why do you have to take your raincoat to the dry cleaner?

You made me laugh right out loud. I think I have either thought, said or done everyone of those things in your post today.
Thanks for the fun post Patty.

I like number 1, that describes me. I always think if I press harder it will work. Never does!!

I've wondered about the bugs in the light fixture myself. LOL. Good-I wonder why's, Patty. I enjoyed them.

My daughter tells me it snowed a little in Willowick (Cleveland area) today. They got 2 inches. Thank goodness it didn't snow here. But it was only 50 degrees and windy. Brrr. Winter is coming!

Have a good night.
