For all of you golfers that live in WYor MT

Golf Warning...

The Department of Wildlife &Fisheries advises American golfers to take extra precautions against bears, while playing on golf courses in Wyoming and Montana National Forests.

They advise golfers to wear noise-producing devices, such as little bells on their clothing to alert, but not startle, the bears unexpectedly. They also advise you to carry pepper spray in case of an encounter with a bear.

It is also a good idea to watch for signs of bear activity. For example, golfers should be able to recognize the difference between Black Bear and Grizzly Bear droppings on the golf course.

Black Bear droppings are smaller, and contain berries and possibly squirrel fur.

Grizzly Bear droppings have bells in them and smell like pepper spray.

Glad I'm not playing golf in WY or MT. If I were there, I'd stay off the golf course until I knew the bears bellies were full. tee hee

Dear Patty ~~ Great joke. Nancy also sent me that wonderful picture and I will still post it as we have different readers. I have left an award for you at my blog, hope you enjoy it. The Dark Candle was a nice story and the joke about the man not having electrician etc written on his forehead was good too. I was annoyed when he was so sure his wife had baked a cake. Take great care, my friend. Love, Merle.

So glad I don't like golf. Tony likes to golf, and I tried it a few times, but hated it.

That is a good one. lol

We are cold here today, but no snow. I noticed back east and south of us they had ice and snow. Thank goodness it missed us.

Well here in Holland we haven't got any bears on our golf courses. I guess this isn't meant seriously?

Patty

I could always send them some poo sticks to suss out the type of droppings they find. Mind I wouldn't wait around too long checking them!
