Then when I opened my e-mail, found this from my Brother-in-law in Texas.
When NASA started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ball-point pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat this problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion developing a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside-down, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 300 C.
The Russians used a pencil.

I am glad you and Abe had good news!! You need it after the last few months of worry.
Just don't get me started on "taxes"!
boy that's pretty sad
Oh, but I bet those pens are nice if you can afford one! They do have some out there that write upside down, I wonder if they are the same as these?
Great news about your hubby! That pen info was somewhat disturbing...well more than somewhat...Very disturbing! A pencil would have done fine!
God Bless Abe and you too ... you gotto live a long long long life ...
Thanks for the joke ... I would like to suggest you this blog called Pagalpan or Madness (In Hindi) which has a good set of jokes and humour ... Not my own, but I enjoy visiting it, as much as I do coming to yours...
hey!
very funny to hear the foolishness of NASA....
Great news about Abe's checkup!
Guess the Russians have more common sense then NASA! Your brother has a warped sense of humor when it comes to taxes, eh? LOL.
Have a good night, Patty.

Great news about Abe...wishing him best of health always :D
Lateral thinking at its best...
Good news on Abe. Keep up the good works!
Love this about the pen and NASA. There sometimes is a much simpler answer than the question poses.
I'm sure God has many a chuckle at us silly humans.
Love Granny
Happy that Abe had a good report and got rid one medication. It's about time he had some good news on the healthfront after all he's been through.
Loved the pen/pencil story. That's about how our tax money is wasted.
((( HUGS )))
How great that the news about Abe's heart is good! Thanks for keeping us informed.
That would have been even funnier if it was so close to true! ha ha.
Great news about Abe! Keep on feeling wonderful!
Hi Pat,
Nice piece of information. I guess sometimes, we just have to bear the odd things in life with a smile on our face.
By the way, it was great hearing about Abe. May God bless him with good health forever.
