My day so far

I really lead a pretty boring life.
Got out of my recliner around 7:10am. First stop bathroom. Then checked on daughter and granddaughter.

Granddaughter and I stood at front window and waved good bye to her Mother, who was off to work.

Made up my husband's bed, got clothes out for him to wear. Folded my bed covers from the recliner.

Fed the outside birds. Changed the cats water. Washed hands again, fixed a bite of breakfast for Abe and Audrey.

Got myself dressed, cleaned litter box washed hands again.

Took my medications, two blood pressure pills, thyroid, generic Zantac, Caltrate, triple strength osteo-bi-flex, Benadryl, vitamin E, multiple vitamin/mineral for Seniors, baby aspirin, and two extra strength generic Tylenol for arthritis.

At supper time I take another Caltrate, another generic Zantac, two more extra strength for arthritis, a generic Benadryl and my Femera.

Anyway after the morning pills, I drove Granddaughter to bus stop and we waited for the bus.

I came back home, ate a boiled egg, took off for the grocery.

First I ran out to the feed store and got some sun flower chips.

Stopped by the General Dollar store and got a couple of packages of hair clips for the Granddaughter.

Went to the grocery, found a few bargains, spent $97.66, but that is enough for four of us for the week.

Drove through the drive thru and picked up a bag of ice.

Came home put everything away in either the frig, freezer or a cupboard I have in the garage that I use like a pantry. After everything was put away, I fixed us a bite of lunch.

It is now 1:10 and I have dishes waiting for me. Tonight will be an easy supper/dinner, hamburgers and steak fries, plus salad and warmed up frozen corn for the Granddaughter, she wouldn't touch a salad if her life depended on it.

Once dishes are done, I'll have about two hours to play on the computer until it will be time to walk around the corner to meet the Granddaughter from the school bus. Then she'll have her homework to do before she can either watch Disney channel or play on her computer.

Her Mother will be home later tonight, since she has her class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Tonight she has an exam, I hope it goes well for her.

If nothing is good on TV tonight, I will probably play a few games on the computer and/or try to catch up with the blogs I like to read. Tomorrow it will be laundry day. So now you have a glimpse of my day. Exciting isn't it. But personally I can't stand too much excitement. LOL Sun is shining nice out there, but temp is only around 31F now. But just seeing the sun makes a person feel so much better than you feel on a drab, dreary, wet day.

Hope you are all having one fantastic day.

That is almost exactly like the journal my Mom used to do when she was alive. I found them when she passed. I have often thought about detailing my day that way also. Especially when my husband says..."What did you do today?" Ha..
Have a great day no matter what you do with it!

Hi Patty,
When you're retired you deserve to do what you want when you want. I have had a nasty cold for over a week, this morning when I got up I said to Tony, lets go to the mall for an hour or so, eat lunch and come home, I have cabin fever. And so we did. I got two books on tape, since I've had this cold my old eyes are having trouble reading for very long periods. Also, picked up the movie on DVD "Nights in Rodanthe" thought I would watch it tonight. So there you have my day in a nutshell. Have a relaxing night.

Sounds like a busy day.
It's good to keep somewhat busy, it keeps us from getting old.

I for one appreciate all you do. I remember when I as in the hospital, both times, that I looked forward to your coming to visit and yet knew you had a lot of other stuff to do before you left to come down to the hospital. I guess the only good thing about all of this hospital visiting is that we didn't have a dog to take care of for the first time in our married lives. Maybe I have forgotten something. Love you.

Well my days are not exactly anything to write home about. Luckily I don't have as many tablets to take, just a couple for the thyroid, statins for cholesterol and a cod liver oil tablet to keep my joints moving.

I must spend less time on the computer or I'll never get any work done in the house at all.

Hi Patty, this sound like a busy day, I don't think you could get bored with that kind of schedule. I take Caltrate also, my doctor wants me to take two a day like you do. It was a mild day here today and tomorrow will be 41 and rain. Take care and be safe.

Your day doesn't sound like a retired lady!!! In fact we do many similar things. I don't have grandchildren to take to the bus, but I do make meals for Don.

I don't take so many pills, but have my aches and pains too.

All in all ~~ I love my life and would never go back to that full time work in the Property Management business.

It was fun to follow you around today, Patty, but to tell you the truth.... you wore me out! I'm going to sit down and take a nap!

You are a busy woman, even when you can sit down you don't hardly. Thanks for the hair clips for Audrey, I'm sure she will use them.

Hi Patty,

You've had a busy day, even without any excitement. I can't take too muc excitement either! Have had way too much of it lately.

Actually, I had a busy day as well, hitting the keys for several hours, as I have a couple of deadlines. Washed a couple of loads, changed my bedding, etc. Tomorrow is Chinese Buffet day! I am looking forward to it!

We were at 50 degrees today and drizzly, tomorrow 60s and Thursday we may hit 70! But rain and storms coming in. Good thing the roof is repaired!

Your Abe is so sweet!

Have a good night.

Renie

Dear Patty ~~ What a busy day you have every day
Be sure you don't overdo it. I enjoyed all the things we learned from the movies.
I Googled Bruno Torfs today and he is alive and well, and saved about 8 paintings from his gallery. But watched his house, gallery and sculptures destroyed - the latter by falling trees. He says he will return to Marysville as soon as he is allowed and live in a caravan and is full of hope. He is only 53, so may try to rebuild some of it again. Take care, Love, Merle.

That's a day and a half Patty. I'm so tired I think I'm going to take a nap - lol. What kind of games do you play on the computer. I have scrabble, I love that one.

Sounds like a serene but well-filled day. Thank you for sharing it with your net buddies!

My days are pretty stressful lately, way too much running around and not enough fun.

Thank goodness for the little joys we get on the Internet :)
