How true are these?

Work: A Retrospective...

* A pat on the back is only a few centimeters from a kick in the pants.

* Don't be irreplaceable, if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.

* You can go anywhere you want if you look serious and carry a clipboard.

* When the bosses talk about improving productivity, they are never talking about themselves.

* Everything can be filed under "miscellaneous."

* To err is human, to forgive is not company policy.

* There is never enough time to do it right the first time, but there is always enough time to do it over.

* If you are good, you will be assigned all the work. If you are really good, you will get out of it.

* When you don't know what to do, walk fast and look worried.

* The longer the title, the less important the job.

* Once a job is fouled up, anything done to improve it makes it worse.

Some good ones, esp. the 1st. I like your temp.; ours stayed 80 last night, to be 95 today, with feel of 105. That last P-P show was excellent. thanks from Texas.

*Everything can be filed under miscellaneous.*

Many years ago I hired a young woman to do the filing. Anything that began with the word 'The' got filed under T, needless to say, we had a grand time trying to find anything!

Good quotes again. As an former banker I could relate to "* The longer the title, the less important the job." Banks are also famous for giving a title in lieu of a raise.

Once again a fun post.i used to do BSE very regularly, after a misscarriage on one such examination i found a big lump that of the size of a medium onion on one of my breasts...later after a mammo.and biopsy it turned out to be a Fibroid as a result of massive infertility drug dosages...just a low dose vit E caps and Aspirin fixed the problem...since than i regularly have a checkup annually. Its a great thing that you have highlighted this important issue here in your blog.

I'm just glad I am no longer in the work force, but this one was true even way back then "If you are good, you will be assigned all the work. If you are really good, you will get out of it." Haha.

Almost time for Dancing. Let's see if Tom gets the boot this evening.

Have a good night, Patty.

Too true, I fear.

Amen! to Arkansas Patti's comment; I was a bank employee for many years.

Hi Patty ~~
Yeah for Mammograms...that's how mine was found too. I only have 5 days left. Saw my doctor today, and I've done really well. I have taken your advice on several things, and it's always good to have a friend who has been there done that!!

LOL:Wanda
