How Bad Is It?

The economy is so bad.....

The economy is so bad... That I got a pre-declined credit card in the mail.

The economy is so bad... I ordered a burger at McDonald's and the kid behind the counter asked, "Can you afford fries with that?"

The economy is so bad... That CEO's are now playing miniature golf.

The economy is so bad... If the bank returns your check marked
"Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them.

The economy is so bad... Hot Wheels and Matchbox stocks are trading higher than GM.

The economy is so bad... McDonald's is selling the 1/4 ouncer.

The economy is so bad... Parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children's names.

The economy is so bad... A truckload of Americans was caught sneaking into Mexico .

The economy is so bad... Dick Cheney took his stockbroker hunting.

The economy is so bad... Motel Six won't leave the light on anymore.

The economy is so bad... The Mafia is laying off judges.

And finally...Congress says they are looking into this Bernard Madoff scandal. Oh Great!! The guy who made $50 Billion disappear is being investigated by the people who made $1.5 Trillion disappear!

There is a lot of truth to most of these sayings.

Very funny...My favorite is; "Parents in Beverly Hills fired their nannies and learned their children's names." Even though I know it is not true.

They're all good, but the last one is my favorite!

Have a great evening, Patty.

Hello Patty
Like Gramma Ann I rather like the one relating to Parents and children.
Also like the quote you have today

My mother always used ot say 'Manners maketh man' - not money.
Take care
Cathy

Dear Patty ~~ Those were so funny, but some a bit near the truth.
Go ahead and post the story of the driver winning money, it's good.
You do well to get your shopping done early and put away.
Your Beefed up Noodles sound tasty.
I make similar things and add some soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce.
I hope your weather is warmer very soon. We got to 41 today (105) but no serious fires. Air/con helps a lot, as well as staying indoors.
Take care my friend, Love, Merle.
Thanks for your reply e mail.

Good ones, Patty! Are we ever going to get through this? I look at Brown who just won the Mass. election. He's way too good looking. How long before he goes the way of Edwards, Clinton et al. I get very cynical when I look at our politicians.

These were funny but some truth to them. I liked the one about the CEO.

Fabulous!!!

Oh, the wonderful thing about humor. We can actually laugh when we might want to cry.

It is a good thing to laugh. Especially when such truth is entailed in these sayings.

You are marvelous.
