LESSONS from our members...

By Kathy J from Cleveland Texas
My father (A L Jones) taught me to never "loan" any money or anything of value that I couldn't afford to "give" away. His logic was that if the person were to pay you back or return your goods, then that was wonderful. However, if the person didn't pay you or return your goods, then that was OK too, because you weren't expecting it back anyway.

I've learned that a bad day is completely cured in 24 hours.

My mother used to say this -- now it fits me: "I'm too young for Medicare and to old for men to care."

When you think no one is around to see...that is when someone shows up.

Life is God's gift to me. What I do with this life, is my gift to God.

I live by Kathy J's theory. If I can't afford to "give" it to you then you probably won't get it. Returns are always a pleasant surprise.

PS. We got up to 25 today and had bright sunshine. It felt like a heat wave. Tomorrow low 30s then getting to the normal mid-40s and low 50s. Yay!

Dear Patty ~~ Loved all the quotes but my favorite one was
