Snowblowing/Snowthrowing
which ever you call it.
Just removed about 4 inches of snow, but it's still coming down, very fine. I know by supper/dinner time it will be covered again, but at least it won't be so hard to remove. If I had waited until it finished today, would probably have had about 8 inches and they say we're to get more tomorrow.

I always have plenty of bread and milk, and since I do my weekly shopping on Thursday, and this is Tuesday, asked daughter to stop and pick up a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk just in case I don't get out on Thursday. She said, oh no, I'm going to be one of those that rushes to the store, I said it saves me dragging all the snow into the garage on my car, and I'm too tired to walk to the store, plus carrying a gallon of milk isn't easy when you're trying to walk in the street, since most people haven't even made a path in their walks. And we make fun of people rushing to the store to buy, bread, milk and eggs when a snow storm is coming. Now we're one of THEM. LOL Daughter said I suppose you need eggs, i said, no got two dozen haven't opened yet.

As soon as I rest a little, may mix up a batch of no bake cookies to eat along with our pop corn tonight. Audrey loves cleaning out the pan.

Not sure what I will be fixing for dinner, but I think chicken tenders, I usually just flour them and brown in a little Crisco oil, also making some coleslaw, and since Audrey won't eat that, I will open a can of cranberry sauce, she loves that sliced, and also make some Kraft mac and cheese, she also likes that. Then I think I will make this Pistachio Salad. You take instant pistachio pudding, pineapple chunks including the juice, miniature marshmallows and cool whip, stir all together and chill. Pretty good for a quick dessert.

Audrey's going to read me a chapter from her book. Only problem, sometimes when she reads, ole Grandma falls asleep, so I'm hoping I stay awake for her today. More later.

Sounds like you had a busy morning. I tried moving some snow last time about 2wks ago and suffered back problems for a week. Therefore if it gets moved the boys will have to do it. We got about an inch last night then it turned to rain and back to snow this morning. Puppy got all the way to college to find out his classes had been cancelled. Peace

We are getting snow but it is also trickling down. My husband shoveled for the birds and squirrels. How do you make no bake cookies?

Sigh, no snow here. No snow blowers, no issues with the grocery store. Our neighbor's yard still looks better than ours. Just more rain starting tonight and lasting for the foreseeable future.

Stay warm, my friends. Enjoy the beauty that surrounds you. Take care of each other. ((hugs)) Enjoy the snow for those of us who miss it. Sort of.

I hope you're not too sore after shoveling all the snow. Wise to do it the way you said. It helps a lot later on. I see it's snowing in DC on the TV but nothing here yet. I know it won't be long. Gregg is in California on business!!!! Me? I'm not going anywhere. Plenty stocked up until this thing blows over. Stay warm! Those cookies sound good :) I'm off to get some hot chocolate.

Goodness...more snow? Guess you are having what we did a week or so ago. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to go back out, especially if the walks aren't cleared. Mark always calls me before he heads home from work so he gets to go into the "picked-over" store for what we might need. He doesn't mind. No-bake cookies, yum. I haven't had those in a long while. Maybe I will go make some now! How nice that Audrey reads to you, special times.

NO BAKE COOKIES
1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
3 T cocoa
1/2 c milk
Stir, bring to a boil, stirring the whole time, and boil 2 mins.
Then stir in
1/2 c peanut butter
1 t vanilla
I stir it until the peanut butter melts
Then I add
3 cups Quaker Oats

Stir it well, making sure all the oats are covered, then drop from spoonfuls onto waxed paper (which I lay over a cookie sheet). Makes several doz, but it also depends on the size you make them. I like mine smaller, our one daughter makes them a lot larger. We like to eat them with warm pop-corn, kind of reminds me of when we had pop-corn at home and Mom would make fudge to eat along with the corn. I take a soup spoon and fill it and use another soup spoon to push it off onto the waxed paper

We got 4 inches of new snow, just in time as the old snow melyed! Very beautiful, too, wet snow clinging to the branches. The sun came out and melted a lot of it, especially on the driveway and on the gravel road, so no shoveling required. I stocked up enough to go for 2 months, if I couldn't get out. But I can get out tomorrow! Woo Hoo!

Those cookies sound so good, but I don't eat too many sweets. I do love peanut butter. Enjoy those cookies and popcorn and Audrey's reading. No falling asleep before she is done! Stay warm and safe, too.

Hello patty !
Yum ! Your diner of yesterday seems good !
No snow here, just a few flakes yesterday afternoon.
You know Patty I am not so young. As everyone I get older and older day after day but I am young in my mind and I try to have a young look for my Darling who is younger than me.
