Can you imagine how tiring that must be. I can remember walking through deep snow to school and by the time we got there we were exhausted. I also pity them as their food is covered by snow.
I think we all are wishing for Spring. We have had the snow and enjoyed it and now it is time for it to GO. The weather people say we might get more flurry this weekend into next weeks. Yikes. This is the South. Peace
Oh goodness, those poor deer! What struggles they must have in that deep snow, their food is buried so deep. I have heard that one can feed the deer (not bait them)to help them through bad winters. Gosh, I don't want snow that deep-ever! Its still very cold here but the sun is blessing us longer and longer each day!
Glad we didn't have that much snow! Th edeer around here are highly visble, and if I don't come out with their supper, they come right up to the house and look in! Dozens of them sometimes. Wish I hadn't gotten them used to dining here, 8 years ago. It costs me quite a bit to do it. But I do love them. And yes, it is allowed-the feeding that is, as long as it's not to hunt them that way.
Beautiful deer photo! So very cute. I think I had a deer on my deck last snow. I've been putting food out there. I'll be putting more out these next few days. Quite a storm coming through tomorrow. Stay warm!
Oh My goodness ! A lot os snow ! This morning for the first time i could hear some birds singing. Spring time is just around the corner and deers will be eat goo green grass. Thanks for your visits and comments, Patty.

Everybody waits for the spring.Even the deers.
is that the sign of spring coming? meaning the ice is going to melt, right?

God bless them. That looks like my little dog in the snow.
Cute, We are expecting some new snow cover tonight, they are forecasting maybe 3 inches. I hope that is all we get.
Love the picture! It does indeed look pretty tiring. I'm amazed that they are finding enough food ... the snow must be covering up most of it.
Oh dear! Poor deer!
Spring can't come fast enough for me.
Sunny :)
Great tips. I love cucumbers and they did the best in our garden last summer.
As far as #5...I'd need an awfully BIG cucumber. LOL
Sunny :)
Now that is some deep snow!!!! Poor things!
LOL. And, arrrrgggghhhhh.
Now that is a lot of snow, wow. We only had one bad snow storm, but it sure is cold. I think deer have the sweetest faces.

It's a fantastic photo, but like Abe, I wonder where they will find food.

Oh! THAT made me laugh--I did so need to smile just now.
I went to visit my Sis at Dad & Mom's place. When I got there Dad had just had a small stroke, so I spent most of the day at the Veteran's Hospital.
That place moves my heart so much.
He seems better, though still blurred speech. I'd appreciate your prayers for my Dad -- His name is Bud. And for my sweet Mum--this is SO hard on her.
Thanks again for that wonderful photo! ((hugs))

I'll bet those people in MD. can take some pictures just like this one. Just heard they have 40" and 10" more on the way. I feel for them!
