Nice read for a Sunday morning.

IT'S THE 'L I T T L E ' THINGS

As you might remember,
the head of a company survived 9/11. . .
because his son started kindergarten that morning.

Another fellow was alive because. . .
it was his turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because. . .
her alarm clock didn't go off.

One had been stuck on the NJ Turnpike. . .
due to an auto accident.

Another fortunate person. . .
missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and. . .
had to take time to change.

One's
car wouldn't start.

One couldn't
hail a taxi.

The one that struck me most was:
the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
took various means to get to work, but before he got
there, he developed a blister on his foot. . .
so he stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.

Now, when I am
stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer
a ringing telephone. . .
All the little things that annoy me sooo much. . .
I stop and think to myself -

This is exactly where
God wants me to be,
At this very moment.

So, the next time your morning seems to be
going all wrong -

The children are slow getting dressed,
You can't seem to find the car keys,
You hit every traffic light.

Don't get mad or frustrated;
It may just be that . . .
God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you. . .
. . .with all those annoying little things, and. . .
may you remember their possible purpose!

Pass this on to someone else, if you'd like.
There is NO LUCK attached.

If you delete this. . .it's okay.

God's Love Is Not Dependent On E-Mail!
(that's the cool part)
AMEN

Hello Patty
Makes you think doesn't it - I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. Those are some of the reasons
Take care

I agree, all things are for a reason. I rarely question.

It is true. They used to say there was a reason for everything that happens. I believe it. Look at us, we have been married for 54 years or as my dad would say, "Going on 55 years."

Thanks. I needed a reminder. My morning started with the circuit breaker blowing and I had to go downstairs crawl over flower pots to the breaker and reset it. Someone had left the heater we turn on for Mimi( 90 almost 91 MIL) in the kitchen on and when I started the coffee pot up off the circuit breaker went.Needless to say I in my foul mood awoke the sleeping folks in the house. Peace

What a good post for today. Little do we know how many times He has "watched over" us with His love and protection. Hope you have a blessed Sunday.

YOu know what...this blog meant alot to me just now.

We are looking for two teenage girls to play a part in the Easter play we will be doing. The two we were counting on, will not be able to do the part.

It is a great opportunity for any young person, as there may be a call-back for a film version to be used with live stage plays later on.

I was feeling a little down--but then I read your blog. May be the two we wanted aren't the two God had in mind...we need to trust that He will bring along exactly who He has in mind.

Thanks for this...things DO happen for a reason. I've seen this many times over the years.

Blessings to you and Abe. You two are so dear.

Cool indeed. Great reminder that "the Big Guy" knows best.

Have a great Sunday Patty!

Yes, everything happens for a reason! We can ask why them, why not the others? Only God knows the answer.

Hope you had a nice Sunday. We had 70 degrees and lots of sun, and I enjoyed it very much. Almost time for the Oscars!

So true Patty! We had one of those moments recently. I will probably tell about it on my next ABC Wednesday.

Good thinking there!

My brother-in-law had to help his daughter finish up her homework or else he would have been in the building when the bomb went off at the Federal building in Oklahoma City.
Amazing how God works when we don't even know it's him.

Dear Patty ~~ So much luck for so many that saved their lives. God watches over us all. I love the ending that God's love doesn't depend on e mail. A lovely post
Patty, thank you. Take care.
Love, Merle.

thanks for sharing that was really sweet. WE have many mornings around our house where the kids are slow getting ready. This will give me something else to think about. =)
