Good Smaritan Hospital in Dayton

Abe's in the hospital

Abe's in the hospital, for some reason his heart went crazy yesterday afternoon, top part was working to fast and the bottom couldn't keep up with it, so I called the doctor, and she said bring him in, they did an EKG and called rescue to take him into the hospital. Finally around 8:30 when Becky and I were getting ready to leave it was more back in rhythm like it should be. Not sure when he'll get home, they are doing the drip now, but I know they want to try the pills, so I don't know if this means they will do it at the hospital before they send him home or what. If anyone has ever been in a hospital you know how that goes. They also said anytime the lungs aren't working like they should, it can cause heart problems. Sometimes I guess they go in and do a catheterization and cauterize a spot and that stops the misfiring the heart does. I think I got that right. But if the medicine works, they don't have to do that. I'm surprised he hasn't called yet, usually he calls and wakes me around 5, when he's in the hospital, because that's when he wakes up. I will keep everyone posted as I find out something.

They always try the pills on Ken to get him off the drip to see if they will work before he leaves the hospital. Sending up prayers for Abe's quick recovery and for you to hold up under the stress of it all. Helen

I'm just learning this morning that Abe is/was in the hospital, Patty. May is such a busy month and we had guests on Friday so I haven't been visiting my blog friends.

Tell Abe to rest so that he will be already for that family reunion coming up in Arcanun on June 6.

Peace, prayers and fond thoughts coming to you from Virginia.

I have been praying for Abe since then--I hope he's going to be alright.

I'm praying for a miracle so he will be able to go out in his green and flowered gardens and talk to the birds and squirrels--take pictures, experience happiness and health.

Many blessings to you and to Abe. You two are very dear to Sissy and me.
