Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”

Beautiful! And I love the best friend quote, so true.
Dear Patty ~~ Footprints is always a lovely story and reminds us how great the Lord is.
I am glad you liked the story of "The Man on the Bus" and the quote of the day. I had a very nice visit with my cousins and enjoyed the lunch.
Your get together sounded nice too and I hope your grandson had a great birthday It was good that youngest daughter made it in time for cake and ice-cream I hope you haven't had any more storms since.
I agree about the Marriage proposal
forward. Terrible thing to do.
Thanks for the ones you send me.
Take care, Love, Merle.
Hi again my friend ~~ I am so glad you got 1 1/2 inches of rain which would really freshen up the dry and brown look. Take care, Love, Merle.
