Where does the time go?
I had a few extra minutes this afternoon and went to Google Reader, where I have different blogs that I subscribe to. Apparently they've changed something, I CAN NOT visit them through Google Reader, so I went to my own, and found on the left side of the screen, all the blogs I have listed that I like to TRY to keep up with. But it seems harder and harder for me all the time, to get around to read them.

Abe gets up earlier then me, and after some bathroom grooming, and his coffee, he goes right to the computer and starts, I have to get up, fold my sheets, make his bed, run Granddaughter to school, come home and fix breakfast for him and me. Then if it's grocery shopping day, I do that, or if I have to run errands, I try to get that done before lunchtime. Same with laundry or any other type of house hold chore. It seems the more I try to work at it, the further behind I get. Then by the time I get on the computer, it's lunch time, then time to do up both breakfast and lunch dishes and then time to get Audrey again. That does give me about 25 minutes to just set in the car, read, work a seek and find puzzle or play Yahtzee on a hand held game I carry in the car.

Did have two doctor appointments this week, one with the heart doctor on March 5th. and one with the family doctor on March 7th. She was bound and determined she was going to give me a shot in my hip bursa and I told her no. She said the blood work she did on me two weeks ago, does not really show any arthritis factor? I think I got that right. I have an appointment with an arthritis doctor this coming Monday the 12th and I want to wait and see what he has to say. Abe made the appointment when he was in to see him for his arthritis.

I also chickened out ( well not really I got panicky) when I was to have that MRI on Feb. 29th. I'm suppose to reschedule, but now I am going to wait until I talk with the arthritis doctor. The x-ray showed I have degenerative arthritis of the lumbar spine, so what more do they need before they start me on something? Abe had me take his 800 mg of Motrin for a couple of days and that helped the pain more then anything so far. I've had this for years, but it just seems to be getting worse to the point it's hard to walk very far without having muscle spasms. Then family doctor prescribed Tramadol(Spelling) which I thought was a muscle relaxer. Well the first and only one I took made me sick, I had to lay down until the effects wore off. So I called them on the Monday after I tried it on a Sat. and got sick, and the nurse called back and asked what made it feel better, I told her the muscle relaxer from the first time and the high dose of Motrin twice a day. Nurse called me back and said something had been phoned in. Sure enough a different muscle relaxer then what I had the first time and Motrin. I've been half afraid to try the muscle relaxer, plus since the Motrin is helping the pain, it doesn't seem like I'm having the spasms like I did before.

I'm sure the family doctor is upset with me, but I wasn't going to let her shoot me in the hip. My other doctor that I dearly loved, and he left his practice here in town and moved on, wouldn't even give me a shot in my knee he sent me to a specialist. We doctored with him for about 15 years. I really hated to see him leave.

So far I haven't really seemed to bond (if that's what it's called) with the female doctors that have taken over the practice. I don't like change, once I get a doctor I want to keep them. LOL

Have a load of laundry that needs to be folded, a utility room that needs to be sweep up a little, and supper dishes waiting. Melissa was in class this morning then is working from 11am till 7:30pm. Audrey will wipe the dishes for me. She's a good little helper. So off to do more wifely duties. LOL You know this retirement is really for the birds. Think about it, a man retires and he can more or less do what he wants. A woman retires and she still has all the household duties she had when she was working outside the home full time. Something just isn't right about that. LOL If there is such a thing as reincarnation, perhaps I'll come back as a MAN. Then again, perhaps I wouldn't want to.

Everyone have a wonderful week-end. By the way, I am on Facebook now, don't leave too many message, do read a lot of my friends, and click like, since I don't always have time to leave a comment. So if any of you are there, let me know. My email address is momlinc@yahoo.com In subject line put Facebook.

I couldn't agree with you more. I was just thinking the same thing about retirement yesterday. I keep reminding myself about the poster I saw in a retirement home talking about not doing anything. It said if you don't use it you lose it. So maybe that's why women live longer. They don't have time to retire :O)

Got to start training your man early! Actually. I can't keep mine out of the chores and even that becomes a pain because he doesn't want do things my way, or else he wants me to do things his way. The result of that? I just sit down and let him get on with it.

Hey...I know where you are coming from Patty that is why I hardly find the time to log on when I am at home over the weekend. Never ending chores and by the time I sit down to read my email, it is always time for something else :(

I FEEL YOUR CRY ABOUT TIME. IT DOES SEEM TO VANISH QUICKER EVERY DAY. IF I GET TO COME BACK I DO NOT WISH TO BE A PERSON BUT A DOG TREATED LIKE A HUMAN. CASE IN POINT OUR DOG. SHE GETS TO SLEEP WITH THE PACK, OR ANYTIME SHE WISHES. EVERYONE LOVES AND PETS HER. YES I THINK I WANT TO BE A BELOVED PET. PEACE BE WITH YOU AND I TOO FEEL THE SAME ABOUT CHANGE.

Dear Patty ~~ I know what you are talking about. - not enough hours in the day - and not enough energy at our age.Unfortunately that will only get worse.
Good on you for standing up to the doctors as they like to take the easy way out at times. I do hope they sort out the right meds for you to ease your pain. I am so glad that Audrey helps you a little. If you find blogging too much, please don't leave us, but maybe post once a week like I do.
There is so much else to do and you like facebook.
I had Tramadol in hospital for pain. The best I have found is Lyrica as it helps
Take great care dear friend
Love and Hugs, Merle.
