Going to shut down my computer, get Oldmanlincoln's coffee ready for tomorrow morning, put the sheets on my recliner for later. Already in my flannel nightgown and jacket. Going to then turn on the TV, listen and watch Reba and then hopefully a good moving and also crochet while watching but mostly listening to the TV. I'm trying to make an Orange Blossom doll. She's one from the Strawberry Shortcake doll collection. At least the way they use to look. I notice they now have newer up to date models out.
I made one a long time ago for our daughter that will be 35. And then I also made a little smaller version for her daughter Audrey. Here is what it looked like. We had it leaning against a small desk type lamp.I also made two Cabbage Patch dolls, the kit came with the heads, then I had to make and sew up the bodies. Also crocheted the outfits. I made these for the Grandkids that live in Fl. They are now 25 and 26. Of course I never saved a photo of the items I have made over the years, so I asked our son if he knew if they still had them and if he could take a snapshot. They found this one, I think this was the boy doll. The only difference was the girl had a skirt and the boy had short pants, can't really tell which one this is.I also had made the Granddaughter in Fl a Paddington Bear from a kit, it was all crocheted. This is what he looked like. When I started working full time away from home, it seemed as though I couldn't find time to crochet. Also went through carpal tunnel surgery for the right hand and now since I'm retired, I am finding time to start crocheting again. I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand, so now I am starting to crochet again. This is what it looked like. I also had to have the middle finger fixed, it wouldn't close any longer. It took a year before I was able to close my hand into a fist. It was also badly bruised in the hand and up the arm part way. But I sure don't regret having it done, just wished I would have had it done sooner. I almost waited too long. So that's it for tonight. Hope everyone had a good evening, sleep tight and don't let those bed bugs bite.

Wow. I had forgotten about these except the bear. And your hand. If you don't move your neck will look like this. LOL
I remember all of these. Audrey has the Strawberry Shortcake upstairs in her cradle.
That's an operation I'd not want..
These are great dolls Patty... my mum tried to teach me Crocheting many many years ago but I could not get the hang of it, I've bought books on it and tried to learn myself but I find it to finnicky.. Yet I knit, I took up knitting a few years ago to try and help me stop smoking. I really got into it. The things I knit can be seen here: http://www.yarnfwd.com/jeangr.html
I have all these books and I've knitted nearly all the stuff from them. A few of these booklets are that well worn I need to replace them now. I enjoy my knitting I must say, but now I've really got to be in the mood to do it.
You are so talented, Patty. I don't crochet or knit. I'm glad the surgery helped, so you can continue to make these adorable gifts for your granddaughters. I love the Orange Blossom doll!
