I just realized

I never got around to my efx2 blog yesterday. I wasn't on the computer much. I was busy. Yesterday was our fourth childs 46th. birthday. So I fixed her a few things she likes for supper time. I even baked a german chocolate cake, of course it was from a Betty Crocker cake mix, and I used two cans of the coconut/pecan frosting, since it was a two layder cake and I covered the whole thing with the frosting. They came over around 5:30. They both got off work early because of this snow storm we're having.

So far we haven't even tried to venture out and use our snow blower, no sense since it is still snowing. Tomorrow Sunday we were suppose to have a family get together to celebrate Audrey's 8th. BD on Wed. the 5th. and Becky the non blogging daughter's 46th. BD which was the 7th. Our oldest Grandson Justin that lives in warm Fl is celebrating his 25th. BD today and his sister Brittney who was in Iraq on her 21st. BD will be turning 26 on the 17th.

The county our one daughter lives in is on a level 3 which means NO ONE is suppose to be out. Our county is on a level 2. So I'm afraid the BD celebration may have to be post poned until Easter, since our son-in-law works every other Sunday. Either that or we will have to do the get together when possible. I know this is disappointing to both Audrey and her cousin Noah who has been looking forward to coming this past week and he's been marking it off on a calendar. Kids don't always understand cars and parents can't drive through everything.

Just took my Actonel and can't eat anything for 30 to 60 mins. Also you're not suppose to lay down. Thought I would kill sometime by trying to post a little something this morning, before we decide if we want to try to clean our driveway or wait until someone comes along a lot younger then us. Weather man says it's suppose to snow most of the day. I'm so ready for SPRING TIME. But you know what, I bet we'll all be bitching when the weather gets too warm. But oh for just a little warmth and sunshine right now. Our temp at the moment is 18 above 0.

Hope everyone has a great week-end where you're at. Now for a little joke.

Curious Indian Boy

This Indian boy goes to his mother one day with a puzzled look on his face.

"Say, mom, why is my bigger brother named "Mighty Storm"?

"Because he was conceived during a mighty storm."

"Why is my sister named "Cornflower"?

"Well, your father and I were in a cornfield, when we made her."

"And why is my other sister called "Moonchild"?

"We were watching the moon landing while she was conceived. Tell me, Torn Rubber, why are you so curious?"

Hello Mrs. Lincoln
I saw your crocheting on your husbands blog and wanted to mention what a lovely piece the Lemon Chiffon doll is. Do you also knit?
You have a lovely blog here - I enjoyed browsing :)

Hi Patty,

Happy Birthday to the 4th child, and to all with upcoming birthdays! The German Chocolate Cake sounds scrumtious! My granddaughters are out enjoying the big snow in Willowick. An old friend from Ohio sent me this poem that I will post for your enjoyment. (Or not!) Hope it's not too long. It's called Winter in Ohio

It's winter in Ohio
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Ohio
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Ohio
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!

Enjoy!

Hugs,

Renie

Dear Patty ~~ So sorry the snow and bad weather are interfering with the birthday celebrations. I hope they all had good birthdays, anyway. The snow is hanging on isn't it? I take a tablet once a week similar to your Actonel, but I only wait Half an hour
The joke was a good one. You soon get used to Daylight Savings Time. We go back in about 3 weeks. My brother lives in Q'land and they don't have it so are an hour behind us. Take care on the roads, Love, Merle,
