How true, how true!

Would be funny if it were not so damn true !!!

My father-in-law had prostate surgery.

We brought him to the hospital at 7:30 a.m.,
and he was operated on at eight.
We were amazed when the hospital called
at noon to tell us he could go home.

Two months later our beagle, Bo,
also had prostate surgery.
When I brought him in,
I asked the veterinarian what time
I should pick him up.
The vet told me Bo would
remain overnight.

'Overnight?' I said
'My father-in-law came home
the same day.'

The vet looked at me and said,
'Bo's not on Medicare!'

Dear Patty ~~ I hope your father-in-law recovered well. It
sure was quick to send him home.
And the dog got to stay overnight.
Thanks for your visit, I hope you got back to read about the teacher and her lists and the Parrot joke. Both were popular. Take care, Love, Merle.

Is it really that bad over there Patty.. our health service is free as such... payed by contrabutions each week from wages earn.. but even if you are not working it's free. We call it sometime and rightly so.. but I'm sure we would not want to all go private.

JUST A NOTE, THIS DID NOT HAPPEN TO MY FATHER-IN-LAW. HE'S BEEN DEAD SINCE 1955. THIS WAS SOMETHING I RECEIVED IN MY E-MAIL. REALLY IT ISN'T THAT BAD WITH OUR HOSPITAL CARE, BUT THEY DO SEND YOU HOME PRETTY QUICKLY AFTER SOME PROCEDURES. THIS LAST TIME I HAD MY LUMPECTOMY, MY DOCTOR SCHEDULED IT A LITTLE LATER IN THE DAY, THAT WAY I COULD STAY OVER NIGHT. OTHERWISE YOU GO HOME THE SAME DAY OF THE PROCEDURE.

Stay tuned. I have a problem now, on top of everything else, with my prostate and the numbers are elevated so I am scheduled to learn what the problem is. I am sure Patty will let you know.

What's that saying about troubles come in threes? First, Abe is in the hospital, then your daughter has an operation and now Abe has a little prostate problem. Well, good grief! I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. And just want to add that that sure was a cool photo of you and Abe sitting on the lawn. You were both so young and adorable looking. I just loved it.

Hi again Dear patty ~~ Thank you so much for your comments and nice words about my niece Vicki. I just hope the meds do what they hope they will.
Sorry to hear Abe may have prostate
problems and hope that turns out OK. I have two cousins who have that and they grow slowly and are kept under control with meds again. Glad you enjoyed the post and jokes. The part I liked was C;inton had Hanky Panky, between 2 Bushes. Clever. Take great care, Patty.
Love, Merle.

Hi Patty,

Yep, if you have Medicare, you have to recover at home!

I hope Abe will be okay.

Have a good night.
