...... And Then Its Winter........

THIS IS MORE TRUE THAN YOU THINK.

You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.

It seems just yesterday that I was young, And yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all...

And I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams... But, here it is..the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise...

How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my babies go? And where did my youth go?

I remember well... seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like...

But, here it is

Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore...it's mandatory! Cause if I don't on my own free will...I just fall asleep where I sit!

And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things.

But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...This I know, that when it's over...its over....Yes , I have regrets. There are things I wish I hadn't done ,,,,,things I should have done. But indeed, there are many things I'm happy to have done. Its all in a lifetime.. .

So, if you're not in your winter yet...let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly!

Life goes by quickly So, do what you can today, because you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not!

You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life...so, live for good today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember...

"Life is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who come after. Make it a fantastic one."

LIVE IT WELL!!

What a beautiful lesson...and one that we all-too-often forget in our busy dailiness. Thank you.

You are so right about life going by so quickly. It has for us and who would have thought it would when we began.

How true! I know you two have been married for over 50 years, and we will be celebrating 50 years on July 3rd. And like Abe said, where did the time go??

We describe ourselves like an old pair of shoes, they are really comfortable, and we don't want to throw them away, because they feel so good;))

Have a pleasant week-end.

Hi Patty,

So very true! Enjoy every day to the fullest, for you don't know if tomorrow will ever come.

Well, as for here, Greg is on the way. He will cut grass tomorrow and take his Mom out to lunch. I know I will enjoy that.

Have a good evening and night, Patty.

Yes, life is a gift. And the way you live your life is your gift as well. But I wonder ... do you really need clothespins? Yeah, that's a great idea. Perhaps another one or two about 20 inches higher :) ?

Thank you for your valuable thoughts in your post, Pat! They are so right and I would like to say also to the spring time people, that there it is not an insurance for the wrong choices, which we do, so think at first.
But I will use your great clothespins idea for my husband`s problem, thank you :))
Have a good weekend!

Dear Patty ~~ Wonderful post and great advice. The lucky ones of us
have reached the Winter of our lives
and just take one day at a time. I did enjoy this post my friend, you have done very well. Like your daughter, your son is very talented.
His drawings are wonderful and very realistic. I left a message.
Glad you enjoyed the jokes and the navy and the lighthouse etc. I hope all your storms have passed by now, and didn't do any serious damage.
Take care, dear Patty, Love, Merle.

Wise words, Lady L. On most days, I find myself saying "where did the time go?" Seems like yesterday that I was young.

Very good post! It's true life goes fast. When you are young you think that the winter of your life is far away, but when summer is over, it's getting colder.
