Friday the 13th. Are you superstitious?

Friday's Quotes That Make You Think. This week we examine quotes from the classic film, "The Godfather"...

In Sicily, women are more dangerous than shotguns.

Do you spend time with your family? Good. Because a man that doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man.

I spent my whole life trying not to be careless. Women and children can be careless. But not men.

I believe in America. America has made my fortune.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

You're my older brother... and I love you...but don't ever take sides, with anyone, against the family again. Ever.

I'll change; I'll change. I've learned that I have the strength to change.

If anything in this life is certain, if history has taught us anything, it is that you can kill anyone.

Good health is the most important thing. More than success, more than money, more than power.

Finance is a gun. Politics is knowing when to pull the trigger.

It seems in today's world the power to absolve debt is greater than the power of forgiveness.

Power wears out those who do not have it.

Never hate your enemies. It affects your judgment.

The richest man is the one with the most powerful friends.

I like these 'Godfather' quotes.
When the movie comes on my wife just hates that I can say almost every line before the actors do.
It is hard for me to keep from saying the 'best' lines.

Superstitious? No.

Our first date was on Friday, Dec. 13, 1957. Tony said this morning this is our 50 year and 7 month anniversary. I said what are you talking about? He reminded me today is Friday the 13th.

Have a fun filled week-end;)

The "Godfather" movies have become clasics. A lot of people can quote lines from it.

Some are really quite good. Hard to believe ruthless killers, good be such loving family men.

Nope. Not superstitious -- at least not about Friday the 13th. I'll have to think about what I *might* be superstitious about. Most "superstitions" are just the exercise of common sense, like not walking under an open ladder.
The only thing I remember from 'The Godfather' movie is the horse's head in the bed -- if I've even got the right movie.

I remember the black cat thing and people in cars I was riding in would stop, turn around in the middle of the road and go in the opposite direction.

The news said that this Friday the 13th is the only one in 2008. I am not superstitious. Well, usually I am not. But I like to believe in good luck.

Would you believe I never saw the
Godfather? True. Never liked movies with any kind of violence in them. Interesting quotes though.

Have a good evening, Patty.

Dear Patty ~~ Good quotes and like Renie, I never saw the film as I don't like the violence (or Marlon Brando) Sorry I posted that Priestly Persuasion last night that you sent me. Guess we have different readers.
Thanks for your comments, I am late getting around my replies. Take care
my friend, and sleep well and have a lovely weekend. Love, Merle.
