Received this in my e-mail. We all need to try this for a week.

"Why Bad Things Happen...

All of us wish life was always smooth and went the way we hoped. Who doesn’t want everything to go right, to have abundance of health, happiness, relationships, family, friends and ample resources not to have to worry about things, Who doesn’t want their efforts to achieve things to go smoothly.

Well, as you have guessed, life rarely happens the way we plan it. The old joke is, “Man plans, God laughs.”

In truth, the Divine plan is to have us struggle to achieve things and to overcome our limitations. Even when things are horribly challenging, ultimately they are for our good.

Sometimes we are blessed to be given the clarity – such as when one is fired and has a tough time, but ultimately end up in a much more rewarding position -- and other times we never understand why something happened. Our lack of understanding does not mean it wasn’t for our good. It just means that there are some things we were just not meant to understand.

The definition of anxiety is when you are not on the correct path that your soul wants you to be on. The challenge is that most of us are only remotely connected to our souls. Effectively, our souls are hidden from us, and our goal in life is to reconnect. Often the challenges we face in life are wake up calls to reconnect. So the next time something challenging happens, ask yourself (again and again):

1. Why is this happening?
2. What should I learn from this?
3. What do I need to improve in my life?
4. How can I connect more to my soul, which is hidden?

Try doing this for a week and your entire outlook on life will change...and don’t be surprised by the answers

Wishing you all great clarity in your life – which is one of the greatest blessings you can receive.

Well you have given us a wonderful Sunday Meditation....This is what people really need to hear, as it's hard to not become hardened and bitter when bad things happen to us....
But to become better and stronger and move loving.... that the key.

Patty I've been praying for Noah.

Such good questions to ask oneself.
I'm making a copy of the questions and putting it in my wallet.
Thank you for your insight.

Very good advice, Patty. We all face challenges, and the questions may give us the real answers.

We had a wonderful day today, and will be off and running, tomorrow. Mckenzie keeps me on my toes, but also entertained! lol. Have a good night.

Something to think about. Chuck was driving for another company for about a month this past spring. It was his first job after being out of work for 2 months. From day one, nothing went right. Getting sent on impossible runs, not getting paid for detention time, getting weekends home ripped out from under him. He had enough and took the truck back to them and came straight home. He was out of work for one week and went out looking for a new job one day. He started to head west on S.R. 18, but something kept telling him to go east toward Montpelier instead. He did. He ended up in front of Smith Consulting, which had a huge banner in front "Hiring Drivers" He went in, they hired him immediately. Took the sign down and eventually downsized. They told Chuck not to worry. His job was secure. He is home daily and does not get the headaches that he dealt with for the other companies. This is where he was meant to be. He loves this job. I guess you could say it was divine intervention!

Well, this is a post I can really relate to today. Early yesterday morning Jack went into a diabetic coma from very very low blood sugar and I had to call the rescue squad to revive him. Luckily he is fine now but it was so scary and touch and go for awhile. Message to all: diabetes is becoming epedemic in this country. Eat less and stay active to avoid type 2 diabetes.
Patty, hope your grandson Noah and his mommy Melinda are doing well. And of course the best to you and Abe! I think I'll do like tsannie and make copy to put in my wallet.

This is a lot to think about. I wanted to wait for the week-end to read it again. I know what you mean about the "clarity" when you just had something happen to you and your mind feels crystal clear for a day or two.

Best wishes for your grand-son.
