More Lincoln Quotes

Hot off my e-mail from
Rex Barker with More Lincoln Quotes, in celebration on Lincoln's Birthday!

In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

The things I want to know are in books; my best friend is the man who'll get me a book I ain't read.

People are just about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

If you look for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crises. The great point is to bring them the real facts.

Allow the president to invade a neighboring nation, whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion, and you allow him to do so whenever he may choose to say he deems it necessary for such a purpose - and you allow him to make war at pleasure.

Force is all-conquering, but its victories are short-lived.

Rex Barker wishing us all that we would have more leaders like Lincoln around today.

Hi Patty: I haven't been in the "blogging" world very much lately. Need to make more "ME" time. I always enjoy your posts and they put a happy smile on my face. I like your new layout, but I'm sorry that not everything worked as you had hoped.

Have a great rest of the day - and happy President's Day weekend.

Hugs, Cindy

Abraham Lincoln is and has been one of my favorite presidents. He was a very intelligent man. I would have like to meet him personally.
I love all these pictures you have along the sidebars!
