Rex Barker here

with Friday's Quotes That Make You Think.
This week we take a look at Argentinean Proverbs.
Thanks to David P. from Buenos Aires...

Children's love is like water in a basket.

If you have a tail of straw, then keep away from the fire.

A dog that barks all the time gets little attention.

A learned man is twice born.

No woman can make a wise man out of a fool, but every woman can change a wise man into a fool.

It's not the fault of the pig, but of the one who scratches his back.

It's not the gay coat that makes the gentleman.

It's not the heat, it's the humidity.

A man was sleeping under a pear tree, when suddenly a snake came. A pear fell waking him. He killed the snake and ate the pear.

The one who loves you will make you weep.

A good friend is better than a near relation.

A false friend's tongue is sharper than a knife.

Abundance breeds arrogance.

Dress the monkey in silk and it is still a monkey.

Hi Patty,

I like the Argentinian Proverbs.

Just making a quick visit early, while everyone is still asleep. We've been having wonderful weather and a wonderful time. Today, my younger son Greg joins us. Have a great weekend!

Some of those are sooo true. And a couple of them make absolutely no sense. Or is it me?
It might still be a monkey, but it would be a pretty monkey. tee hee

They are all great, but I think my favorite is the man sleeping under the pear tree and the snake...

I like these. Some of them are so funny. Not sure what to make of the gay coat making a gentleman though.
