In A Leather Jacket
I am a mother of three, and eight years ago, I had a MountainWings Moment.
I was at a county fair with my children. My youngest was five. I lost her in an arena while we were watching some dogs perform with their owners.
All of my life I had been struggling with the idea of God existing. I doubted Him so much. I realized my daughter was missing when people in the arena started exiting the building after the show.
I was hysterical, as you can imagine. This had never happened to me. People would stop and ask me what the problem was and I would quickly explain. Then they would say I would find her and leave.
About fifteen minutes later this pretty, leather jacket-wearing lady with an earring in her nose approached me and told me she would help me find her. I sensed right then that we would find her, but with the evil in the world I still had the sense of fear.
When we reached the crowd, the lady called my daughter's name and told me we found her. She led me to her but it was then that I realized the room was full of men and she was taller than all of them.
As I was hugging my daughter I turned to thank the lady and she was gone. It was truly a wonderful moment, not only finding my daughter but also the doubts I had in God seemed to disappear.
For I believe He had sent me an angel.
Thank you for sending me all your writings from MountainWings, because they have helped me in so many ways. I knew I had to write this after reading "I encountered the Devil." God Bless.
