Don't mess with little old ladies.(ADULT)

Awesome Senior Moment

Here's a quote from a government employee who witnessed a recent inter-action between an elderly woman and an antiwar protester in Metro station in DC. There were protesters on the train platform handing out pamphlets, on the evils of America. I politely declined to take one.

The elderly woman was behind me getting off the escalator and a young (20-ish) female protester offered her a pamphlet, which she politely declined.

The young protester put her hand on the old woman's shoulder as a
gesture of friendship and in a very soft voice the young lady said, "Lady, don't you care about the children of Iraq ?"

The old woman looked up at her and said, "Honey, my father died in France during World War II, I lost my husband in Korea , and a son in Vietnam. All three died so you could have the right to stand here and badmouth our country. If you touch me again, I'll stick this umbrella up your a$$ and open it."

Yes...don't mess with old ladies. There was an email that went around about 5 years ago that I wish I still had, because it was so hilarious. Have a great day Patty!

OH, that is just wonderful! Hahahaa....our children have no idea the sacrifices which have been made to preserve our fast-disappearing freedom.

LOL!!

... its not about messing with old ladies - its about the gesture towards your own country...

I'm not too good a follower of America or its Politics, but to an American, America should be heaven, as India is "Mother" for me...

And yes.. the OPENING was a brilliant add on!!

Dear Patty ~~ Good one - little old ladies still pack a punch and we are glad this one did stand up for her country in no uncertain tones.
I hope all is well at your house. Every day seems to get busier than the one before it, Take care, dear
friend, Love, Merle.

And I believe if I had been there I would have given the old lady a standing ovation!
