HOT OFF MY E-MAIL

Received from an e-mail friend.
Just have to share.
It's Soooo Hot!

The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.

The trees are whistling for the dogs.

The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.

Hot water now comes out of both taps.

You can make sun tea instantly.

You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.

The temperature drops below 95 and you feel a little chilly.

You discover that in July it only takes 2 fingers to steer your car.

You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.

You actually burn your hand opening the car door.

You break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 am.

Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?"

You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.

The potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper. and of course sour cream, diced onions and a few serving spoons of chile.

Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.

The cows are giving evaporated milk.

STAY COOL!

All very good. But you could ship everybody over here where on the coast we are enjoying only our fourth day of partial sunshine!

I'm thinking about giving ice cubes to MY chickens ... it's so hot they've stopped laying!!!

On a down side? I saw on the news a couple of days ago where an older gentleman walked on the pavement, got 3rd degree burns on his feet, fell down and burned his elbows and knees while trying to crawl to the grass!

Ack! I don't do heat well either.

That was fun! Love it. It is really warm here in Oregon today. Mid 90's predicted for today and Sunday. It's nice though - we haven't really had much of a summer here.

Hope you and Abe are well and enjoying yourselves. Stay cool!

Cheers, Cindy
