Old Timer's Views on Computing

Memory was something you lost with age
An application was for employment
A program was a TV show
A cursor used profanity
A keyboard was a piano
A web was a spider's home
A virus was the flu
A hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived
============================================

Funny how now days most words have duel meanings. One for the young and one for us. We however are the only group that knows both of them.

Words that use to mean grass, gay, pot...etc....all have new meanings. Guess the Dictionary is forever changing.

Everyone knows a Mouse Pad, is where the mice live.... (((smile)))

BTW I'm enjoying my shawl that you made me at the footballs games. If it warm, I sit on it, if it gets cold, I wrap up in it!.....Thanks again, dear friend.

Love ya
Wanda

Language is as alive as the people using it. It evolves all the time. Can you read Chaucer in it's original form? I'm sure you already knew that because you wriet. I love the stuff you come up with. I smile most times. Thanks.
