This is what we'll be having for supper/dinner this evening.

Beef Stew

3 lbs. Stew Beef, I don't always use 3 lbs. sometimes only about 1 1/2 lbs, I just use more potatoes and or carrots. We prefer more vegetables then meat.
2 Medium Onions chopped
1 Cup sliced celery
2 Cups Carrots cut into bite size
4 Medium potatoes cut into bite size
2 Tablespoon instant/minute tapioca
1 Teaspoon Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt
Pepper to suit your taste buds
1 can Tomato soup diluted with equal amount of water.

Combine all EXCEPT the soup, then pour soup over the entire roasting pan holding the other ingredients, cover, put in a 250 oven and bake for 5 hours. Do not bother to check or stir. 5 hours later, you have a delicious meal.

I will be making some Jiffy Mix drop biscuits and also serving applesauce. This is a handy meal to have ready to pop into oven when having to leave the house for an afternoon

That's a good tip. But I recommend a slow cooker so the oven does not need turning on.
Did you know tomato soup already has a fair bit of sugar? Why does the stew need it?
